Fiesta De Navidad (Christmas Party)

There is a bank in Tegucigalpa, Ban Pais, that does something for our children every Christmas.  Today was the day.  We had one big party today.  The group from the bank began arriving around 2:45.  They hung balloons on the soccer field and the party began.

First they tried to get they boys to keep a balloon in the air.  But the boys could only use their heads to hit the balloon.  They were not too successful, but had fun trying.

Followed by a good game of musical chairs.
Sisi and Jackson battled it out until the end
and Jackson won.

Of course there were prizes for the winners of every game.

After everyone was given Santa hats, the next game was to determine who the best Santa for 2011  was.
It was too difficult to choose only one best Santa.  Brayan and Nohemy tied in this game.

The next game involved passing a balloon from one set of knees to another set of knees.  This was hilarious to watch.

Simon says or as they call it here "The King Says"

No party is complete in Honduras without a pinata.  Or two.

The mad scramble when the pinata breaks.

Some made a huge haul.

Cake and soda for all

And ending with presents

There were a couple of badmitton sets, some trucks, a lot of babies and strollers for the girls, and Katty got a drum.  We probably need to pray for the employees tonight.

It was fun to watch this unfold.  The children had a lot of fun.  But there was no doubt in my mind the bank employees had just as much fun.  They were snapping cameras everywhere.  We do appreciate the employees of Ban Pais hosting this party today.
