Richard and Yesinia

Richard and Yesinia have been friends of ours for a long time.  Richard is the preacher in Ojojona.  He has such a passion for those that don't know Christ.  He visits those in the mountains above Ojojona.  And he knows their needs.

For the last two years, Yesinia has done most of the cooking for all of our mission groups.  This is a huge job.  And, she does it so well.  Not, only is she a great cook, she always has a smile on her face.  Always.  There has been a couple of times when there was a miscommunication and she thought she was not supposed to cook for one night. When the first people begin to show up and there is no supper and none on the stove, Yesinia smiles and says, "It will be a little late tonight," and throws something together.  I am not sure if I would be so gracious.  But she always is that way.

All of us worked hard in March with back to back spring break groups.  One night as I was talking to Richard and said something like I am tired and I know you guys are, too.  Richard replied, "we are thankful for the job."  They both work hard to keep things clean, light bulbs changed, hot water coming.  Important things like that.

Can you imagine on Sunday morning preparing breakfast for a group, sometimes a large group, getting two little girls ready and being in church as the preacher's wife.  Yesinia pulls it off every Sunday morning, with grace and charm, I might add.

They use this extra income for their girls' education.

I am proud to call Richard, Yesinia, Fernanda, and Jessica my friends and glad they work for us and do such a great job.
